If you take care of your stuff, then you dont have to worry about it. I have seen the G1, and I know how sturdy it is, you would have to leave it out in the desert 24 hours a day for several years before there would be a problem. If you just have it sitting around in the sun, then you are not using it enough. I’ll buy it off ya, the thing is practically bullet proof.
Ever see what happens to plastic left out in the sun? Just imagine the looks of this after a year left outside in the harming effects of the sun and whammo! A nice pile of degraded oil. Plastic….nice and cheap if taken care-of, otherwise, not so good.
+ it seems that running the shovel over the rifles would be doing about the same thing a clay ball would and thats knock the gold out of the riffle, looks like more care could be taken and might lose some good pickers there
the only thing i can see that can be upgraded on this would be instead of running the shovel to get the rocks off would be to have a flip handle on there when the rocks pile up on the grate lift a handle to flip them off
Nice video and sluice. It would be nice if someone made a plastic highbanker for around 250 bucks, however I know the market is limited when it comes to buyers and therefore the costs per unit is higher if a business is to make a profit. This highbanker may do a better job than a compatible metal sluice and is relatively cheaper, but it’s still a very expensive bit of molded ABS plastic. For example, the black plastic mixing tub next to it is only a few bucks because so many are sold.

We are using the G1 as the shop power sluice and love the way it works. Lightweight and easy to clean up. Super fine gold recovery.
