The New Treasure Hunt wrong choice

A recent episode of the US show Deal or No Deal reminded me of this moment from 30 years ago on “The New Treasure Hunt”. The rules were a contestant would select one of 30 boxes and won what was in it with the top prize a whopping $25000, big by 1976 standards. That is unless she decided to deal for some money before the box was opened. This is one of only 2 times in the shows 4 year run that the outcome was as you see.
